It's holiday season and we have been working hard trying to get top lists of 2009 up and online as well as keep the site news as updated as possible.  A lot of us are with our families and taking some time off from online so things will probably be a little slow until the new year.  What are your plans for the holiday season?

Veil of Maya will be heading out on a short headlining tour next year with support from Animals as Leaders and labelmates Circle of Contempt and Periphery. Veil of Maya and Periphery are both in the process of readying new albums, their third and first releases, respectively. Dates can be found in the comments.

Get A Free Unreleased Elliot Smith Track

In April, Kill Rock Stars is set to reissue Elliot Smith's debut album Roman Candle, as well as From A Basement On The Hill.  To celebrate the reissues, ThinkIndie is offering a free download of "Cecilia/Amand", a previously unreleased track written by Smith's high school band Stranger Than Fiction.  The track was recorded by Smith in 1997 at Jackpot! Recording Studios with producer Larry Cane, who also worked on the Roman Candle reissue.  You can download it here.

Skeletonwitch Announces U.S. Headline Tour
